Shan was in the house. The record company agreed to put out “My Melody" but we needed a mix. Me and Shan sat there the whole time trying to figure out a mix ourselves. If you listen to the record, it has highs and lows. There were great sounding records at the time, but I listen to stuff on the record now and it sends chills through me like dam how did we deliver this? Me and Shan did all the mixes because Marley Marl didn't want to do them because Rakim was rhyming too slow and he was Marley a headache.

AllHipHop.com: Okay, here is what Marley said in regards to Shan engineering the session:

“What's ironic about those two sessions was MC Shan was an assistant engineer or an apprentice at my studio. So I let Shan record Rakim's vocals for those songs."

Eric B.: That's not true.

Microsoft has quietly released an update to its Office Live Workspace service, which the company first rolled out in beta form in December 2007.

The just-released Office Live Workspace update, according to a posting on LiveSide.Net,includes a new activity pane for keeping track of what's happening in your wokspace; e-mail notifications so you know when those with whom you are sharing documents make an update; support for adding multiploe documents to workspaces; and a new interface to make it easier to invite new people to participate in a shared workspace.

A quick refresher on what Office Live Workspace is (and isn't). Office Live Workspace is Microsoft's alternative to Google Docs. It is not a Web-based version of Microsoft Office. It is meant, first and foremost, to be a complement to Microsoft Office.

Will speeding fine blunder cost £20m?

MILLIONS of pounds of fines could have to be refunded after a landmark ruling found several speed limits on Hamp-shire's roads are not legally enforceable.

Experts say a judge's decision yesterday opens the door to thousands of motorists to claim their money back, but that could be just the tip of the iceberg.

District Judge Philip Gillibrand yesterday dismissed the last of 14 test cases against motorists allegedly caught speeding along the A27 in and around Fareham.

He ruled that simple errors in the way signs were positioned meant the speed limits essentially had no backing in law.

Legal experts who uncovered the failings say they have seen the same mistakes time and time again across the county, which they described as "a signing disaster zone".
